  1. EMT Ran 1.5 Miles up 1,000 Feet of Elevation in 31 Minutes to Get Blood Transfusion for Injured Climber:

When Jacob Gregory had fallen 20 feet on the North Carolina Shortoff Mountain and suffered from critical injuries, EMT Will Soper set off to save his life. Prior to the emergency, Will Soper was around two  hours away and teaching a training course. Soper ran 1.5 miles up the mountain, carrying the blood needed for a transfusion, climbing around 1,000 feet in just 30 minutes. His quick response helped Gregory’s chances of survival and the doctors who would later operate on his severe injuries.

     2. FDA Immediately Approves Drug That’s Doubling Lifespan for Late Pancreatic Cancer Patients:

A promising new drug named Daraxonrasib has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to help those with advanced pancreatic cancer. During a clinical trial, patients who took the drug lived more than 13 months on average, nearly twice as long as those receiving standard treatment.  The drug targets KRAS, a protein that helps cancer cells grow and spread by locking the cell’s growth switch in the “on” position. This approval grants patients a new treatment option and offers hope for better outcomes for people fighting pancreatic cancer.
